While Lexington is known around the world for its horse farms, bourbon, and rich history, it is the locally owned businesses, dedicated professionals, outstanding restaurants, and vibrant neighborhoods that truly define the character of this remarkable community.
Each year, Best of Lexington gives residents the opportunity to recognize the businesses and organizations they trust most. Whether it is a favorite neighborhood restaurant, a family-owned retailer, a healthcare provider, or a local service professional, every vote reflects the pride Lexingtonians have in supporting the people who help their community thrive.
This year’s contest featured more than 3,900 businesses, organizations, and individuals competing across 243 categories, generating over 356,000 votes, a 12 percent increase year over year. The tremendous participation demonstrates the strong connection people have to their local businesses and the community they proudly call home.
